We focus on labour conditions, occupational health and safety, child labour, ethical recruitment, wage practices, grievance mechanisms, social security, and vulnerability to environmental risks such as climate change, with particular attention to underserved population.

Case in Point :

The companies involved with cotton supply chain, were seeking insights on risks related to child labour, wage discrimination, unethical recruitment, bonded labour, and occupational health and safety in the Madhya Pradesh state of India. For this, a scoping study helped these companies understand the scenarios that lead to different risks, e.g. child labour during peak seasons, occupational hazards due to unavailability or higher cost of equipment, and minimum wage gaps due to a closed culture and informal agreement procedure. These risks are geographically mapped to identify high-risk hotspots (locations, communities, etc.), enabling targeted mitigation, effective remediation, and informed decision-making.
